Hi, I am Björn Döring, and this is my private blog. I work at DLR (the German Aerospace Center) in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich, Germany. Our institute’s principal topic is synthetic aperture radar (SAR), and I am involved in the calibration of systems like TerraSAR-X, TanDEM-X, and Sentinel-1. I quite enjoy designing and building new hard- and software to get as much performance out of the instruments as possible, and so completing a PhD on the side was a great addition to my normal work. Otherwise, I enjoy running, swimming, biking, and exploring France and its culture where my wife and I finally moved to!

You can reach me at . My OpenPGP key is B8E29B30.

In the following I have listed some selected publications. For further publications and downloads see ResearchGate.

Oh, and my ORCID iD is http://orcid.org/0000-0002-4257-1413. Maybe it will help to work around the Björn Döring/Bjorn Doring/Bjoern Doering spelling problem?
